Gobble Veggies, Not Turkeys

Over 20 million turkeys are killed each year in Canada, and most are killed around thanksgiving. They spend their entire lives in cramped filthy sheds living in their own feces and urine. They are pumped so full of drugs that they grow large, so quickly, that their legs often break out from under them or they suffer heart attacks. At the slaughterhouse they have their throats slit while still fully conscious and even boiled alive in defeathering tanks. PETA's pilgrims were encouraging folks in Ottawa and Quebec City to give Turkeys something to be thankful for at Thanksgiving by choosing a Tofurkey.
